KIWANIS TV BINGO – RULES OF PLAY AND OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES

SHOW FREQUENCY

The KIWANIS TV BINGO show airs once each week, on Cable 14, on Mondays (excluding holidays) from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Shows commence the first Monday following Labour Day and continue weekly until the second last week of June

BINGO CARD PURCHASE

·         Bingo Cards are available in a package of 3 cards and sell for $3.00 per package

·         Cards are sold in Convenience Stores, Grocery Stores and Drug Stores in Hamilton, Dundas and Stoney Creek

·         Each card is dated and colour coded with the date of the show for which it is purchased, and is valid only for the date of issue

·         Each card may be re-used for all of the 4 games during the TV Bingo show for which it is dated (do not use a dabber until the Around The Free Game)

·         Each card contains a different serial number located in the free space in the center of the card.  This number is matched by a number in the Kiwanis TV Bingo computer program, and is used to verify that a card being played is a winning card on that game

·         Each card contains the telephone number used by Kiwanis TV Bingo at Cable 14 for the players to be able to contact Kiwanis TV Bingo to register their winning card

GAMES PLAYED EACH MONDAY

·         “T” – Game – Players must have all the numbers across the top of the Bingo Card and down the middle (under the “N”) covered to win.  The “T” must be similar to a capital “T”.  It is not a “floating “T”.  The prize for this game is $400.00

·         “X” – Game – Players must cover two diagonal lines from the top to bottom corners of the card, with each line going through the free space to form an “X”.  The prize for this game is $400.00

·             “Around the Free” – Players must cover the eight numbers around the center“Free” space on the bingo card.  This would be:  3 I’s, 2 N’s, and 3 G’s.  The prize for this game is $400.00.  The numbers called and covered by the players for this game, are not removed at the end of the game.  They are included and used in the following game, which is a full card game.

·         “Full Card Game” – The numbers from the previous game (Around the Free) are kept covered and re-used to start this game.  Players must completely cover the remaining numbers to fill the whole card in order to win.  The prize for this game is $800.00.

SUPER BINGO GAMES

·         Games for super bingo shows are the same, but the prize board is as follows:

·         “T” Game – $1000

·         “X” Game – $1000

·        “Around the Free” – $1000

·       “Full Card” Game – $2,000

·         Players will be asked for the serial number of the winning card.  This number is listed in the Free Square on the card, and also at the bottom right corner of the card.

·         The Computer Operator will enter the serial number into the computerprogram to verify if the player has a winning card.

·         If there is more than one winner, the prize for that game is shared equally withall winners.

·         Cheques for the prizes are issued and delivered by our delivery person after the Bingo Show to all the winners, either prior to 11:00 p.m. or on the following day, if there are several winners that night.

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES FOR KIWANIS TV BINGO OPERATION

(a)                The Caller will stop calling Bingo numbers and end the game when a phone call is received from a potential/validated winner of the game at the Cable 4 Studio

(b)                Following any valid complaint from a player about an interruption in their cable service or a downed telephone line, or an interruption of service to the Cable company’s telephone line, that player may be given permission by the Kiwanis TV Bingo Volunteers to re-use the card(s) for the TV Bingo show on the following Monday evening.  The player would also have the option of being reimbursed for the purchase of those cards by Kiwanis TV Bingo.

(c)                Should a player not be able to get through on the telephone to Cable 14 because of technical or other problems until after the next game has begun, their winning card can still be verified during the show by the use of our second (back-up) computer.

 (d)                Cards will only be honoured for the show for which they are dated, with the exception noted in (b) above, and only up to the conclusion of that current Bingo show.

(e)                TV Bingo winners will be declared using all of the balls that are called for that game.  This permits Kiwanis TV Bingo to honour all calls, which may be from valid winners.
